I'm waaaaaaaaay north of Miami. (NY) I was just wondering. That puts Miami on the right side of the storm which means they'll get the worst of it. How is storm surge? The winds should be bringing in onshore. Is Miami low?

It's coming form the West - there is no surge in Miami. Miami will have minimal problems from this storm.

In this case, as the storm moves to the east, the winds to the south of the eye are pushing away from land, not towards land. So Miami shouldn't get much surge from this.
