That puts Miami on the right side of the storm which means they'll get the worst of it. How is storm surge? The winds should be bringing in onshore.

In this case, as the storm moves to the east, the winds to the south of the eye are pushing away from land, not towards land. So Miami shouldn't get much surge from this.

Duh! Thinking of the winds. They're worxe on the right side but had the direction wrong.
