At 11:37 am this morning, I received an email from USC professor of law, Susan Estrich.
After hearing Estrich discuss her new Hillary book with Sean Hannity on October 11, I was a little upset. Estrich was essentially calling our friend Juanita Broaddrick a liar. She had spoken with her friend Bill Clinton, and, of course, Bill denied that he raped Juanita. That was good enough for Estrich. Bill could lie to his wife, lie to his daughter, lie to his attorney, lie to his secretary, lie to reporters, lie to his cabinet, lie to the court, and lie to the American people while pointing his finger at us, but by some cosmic mystery that is beyond human comprehension, Bill would not lie to her. Okay then. So, Juanita was not telling the truth. She is a liar. Unfortunately, this teacher of law students, this officer of the court, this person who purports to be so fair and open-minded, had not heard the other side of the story. She has never spoken with Juanita. Yet, Juanita is a liar. A known liar and perjurer told her so. Well, something needed to be done about that.
An initial conversation was held with Ms. Estrich's secretary at USC inquiring about the willingness of Estrich to speak with Juanita if it could be arranged. That was followed up with an email.
Juanita then contacted me through FReepmail with the good news -- she wanted to meet with Susan. She had some things she wanted to tell her. Certainly, Estrich, as a fellow rape survivor, would be interested in speaking with Juanita, right?
Another phone call and email to Estrich's office gave her the good news. Apparently, it was not very good news to Estrich. Here is the email received from her this morning ---
What? She is not interested? A fellow rape survivor wants to speak with her after comments were made on a radio show and Estrich is not interested?
If she were honest, rather than merely being a Bill Clinton sick-o-fant, here is the email she should have sent to me ---
If anyone is interested in taking some action, I would appreciate your help. Until Estrich speaks with Juanita and hears her story, why would any talk show host on our side have the sick-o-fant on the air to sell her book? If you participate on blogs, please spread the word.
We all know why Estrich won't meet with her. She is afraid to hear the truth. If she heard the truth, it would be an incredible moral dilemma. How does a rape survivor side with a rapist against a fellow rape survivor and dare show herself on television ever again?
Just imagine her course of action had the rapist been named Newt Gingrich, Tom DeLay, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, or George W. Bush.
Susan, I once had some respect for you when you and I had good discussions on your Los Angeles weekend radio show. Now, the sight of you and the sound of your voice simply make me ill. You are a phony.

I don't know the evidence. I just always believed Susan that it happened. Perhaps that was naive.

I understand you're now pro-rape. When did this transformation happen? I always thought rape was a bad thing. Please clarify. Thanks;

Estrich has always been about advancing her partisan ideology, not about what the truth is in any particular situation.
We've all heard her utter the most cynical absurdities time after time, and indeed, often it seems to me she can barely keep a straight face when doing so. A prime reason she is so often called upon to participate in the talking head debates on the cable news shows is because she can reliably be counted on to take the liberal political side of the debate, regardless of what the facts would suggest in any particular event.
Susan no doubt thinks she comes across as smart and clever, but those who agree with her politically generally don't care about underlying facts and anyone else with more than two brain cells sees right through her sophistry.
If it became widely believed among the voting public, especially women, that Bill Clinton did indeed forcibly rape Ms. Broaddrick, then not only would Bill Clinton personally be discredited, but the political agenda Estrich and the Clintons believes in would suffer, and Hillary Clinton herself would be dealt a serious blow for the future.
To Estrich and and Hillary Clinton, the "cause" is more important than the injury to this one particular woman, indeed more important than the lives of any of the other Paula Joneses and Kathleen Willeys who have had the misfortune to personally encounter Bill Clinton. Putting the political cause over the lives of real people is indeed a hallmark of the left, and in its radical form has directly caused the deaths of many, many millions and the impoverishment of many times more than that.
Estrich certainly wears that rape on her sleeve like a badge of honor. I would not be surprised if it was an absolutely bogus tale.
No, this is not surprising at all. But she has now given us some ammunition. Let's see how to use it to maximum benefit. Please help get it on talk radio and the blogs. Maybe we can diminish her book. Maybe we can diminish Hillary. Maybe talk show hosts will challenge her to meet with Juanita. We have an opportunity here.
Just about any time you see her discuss any thing she will bring up her rape.
Hard to believe some guy could possibly be that (excuse the pun) hard up.

Seriously, though - Your idea does have merit. I'd love to be able to hug Jesse Jackson from behind in a show of "Solidarity."

Rape is not a crime of love. Sickos rape 95-year-old women. They don't have to be attractive.
Absolutely. Juanita never wanted this brought out into the public. That is why she made the mistake of signing the false affidavit. She wanted it to go away and not have to relive it.
She said no. It is not too surprising. Please let us know about your visit to the Lie-brary next week.
A Camp Juanita really would be interesting. How about some flyers handed out at the law school? Or, in front of her office? How about an ad in the USC campus paper?
