Rep. Kirt Weldon is on Michael Savage's radio program, and he is implying Rumsfeld is the one blocking further investigation into Able Danger.
Weldon is fuming; says he personally (in a committee hearing) asked Rumsfeld about the investigation being blocked. Rumsfeld replied that he would 'get back to Weldon with a response.' Weldon says he still has gotten nothing from Rumsfeld.
Weldon to give a speech in a few moments this evening on the floor of the House. It should be aired on CSPAN this evening.
"The other day Sean said on his radio show. Don't buy Freeh's book"
Sorry, I don't understand why Sean would say something like that.
It was a moment, awesome!
I don't know what to say about that
I've heard Curt ealk about this on the radio .. he doesn't say about about Bush trying to block anything
He does always mention the holdovers from Clinton's days in office though
Oh, yippee...something to look forward to!!!
You add Tony's news to this...which SHOULD (unlike the 9/11 Commission) rightfully be linked to Clinton's Administration, and Hillary my change her mind about running for SENATOR, let alone POTUS...(I know, I am dreaming..)
ROFLMAO! We are movers and shakers! :D
If that was the case, it could be easily resolved with a simple phone call from/to Rummy......someone feels that we, the people can't handle the truth....the real truth of that POS Clinton....
Among other things they are too busy worrying about....
War on Drugs
Steroids in Baseball
Other things they should be worried about
How people are going to afford electricity heat and gasoline
How the borders are going to be protected
Priorities are certainly misguided. But "we" are to blame. The public keeps electing this idiots. You get what you tolerate.
"She knows the story will only be allowed to be about Bush and Rummy and losing to Al Queda..."
The big story here is the state of American foreign policy and how we can best defend this country. The MSM and the Democrats want a big investigation so that they can blame Bush for everything. They don't want to know about any inadequacies under Clinton. You've got to keep sticking it under their noses, because the Democrats will lie and the news media (pretty much the same thing as the Democrats) will lie with them.
"If the DIA and Pentagon is successful in this cover up"
Can't happen, I tell you.
The cover up is finished.
I don't know .. he has mentioned in the past that some information is highly classified and that he why he can't discuss some things
Look ... what ever is going on .. it is heavy stuff .. big time stuff
Though I believe we need to seek the truth on this ... we also need to be prepared that not everything will come out as fast as we would like
Some things we may not find out for years because of the security implications involved
The 2K number was his personal credit card debt. Shouldn't even matter as it wasn't tied to the gov't, but they tried to somehow make an issue of it just to hang something on him.
Agreed. I just sent C-Span an email asking that they both replay it this weekend and to post the video on their website. If more would request that they do so, they'll oblige.
"The official, William Dugan, was asked why the Pentagon had not given the Able/Danger data to the FBI."
Instead of them asking Dugan, the 9/11 commission should have asked Jamie Gorelick about her 'wall' during the 9/11 hearings. Oh, that's right, they couldn't because the Dims insisted she be on the 'bi-partisan' (not) panel.
I'm listening to the west coast feed of Savage's show. It's half way through the second hour. Anybody know if I missed Weldon tonight?
This is exactly where W needs to step up to the plate, be a big boy and demand an investigation. LOL-yeah, when monkeys fly out of my...
His personal debt is not the DOD's business....I was struck by that remark...
I almost forgot that Weldon said that the President's nominee for the head of the DIA hasn't been confirmed yet....and he intends to find out how he intends to deal with this BEFORE there is a vote on his confirmation...
So...he will have to enlist some Senators to help do that.
That and I'm sure there a number of holdovers that are in a CYA mode
