Rep. Kirt Weldon is on Michael Savage's radio program, and he is implying Rumsfeld is the one blocking further investigation into Able Danger.
Weldon is fuming; says he personally (in a committee hearing) asked Rumsfeld about the investigation being blocked. Rumsfeld replied that he would 'get back to Weldon with a response.' Weldon says he still has gotten nothing from Rumsfeld.
Weldon to give a speech in a few moments this evening on the floor of the House. It should be aired on CSPAN this evening.
People need to be help accountable and changes made!
McKinney would only be involved if she thinks she can charge "cover up" against the Bush administration. She may be in for a very rough surprise. I'm still of the opinion that Rumsfeld and others are simply trying let the MSM clamor for release of info because it will look so bad for the Clintonistas that if the DOD just released it without a lot of MSM pressure they would be accused of playing politics with classified info (it's a no-win situation, they'll be accused of all sorts of nasty things no matter what they do). Clearly there are career bureaucrats and probably also Clinton holdover appointees who are busy trying to savage Tony Shaffer and others from Able Danger, but I'm still expecting that Rumsfeld will do the right thing once he's clear on what's been going on and/or once the MSM pressure builds.
Of course, there might be some truly sensitive info of exceptional importance that would still be compromised if Able Danger info is released.... I'm not willing to totally rule out that there are people in the DOD who truly do think that it would not serve the national interest to have a huge document dump about data mining into the public arena, and maybe there are successor programs to Able Danger that would likely be exposed..... we don't know what we don't know, but on balance I have to agree with Weldon that it's of the utmost importance that Rumsfeld and others step up and set the facts straight on what happened with Able Danger.
POIFECT!!! HERO IT IS!
Has Freeh been talking about this on his book tour? Maybe talk shows should receive e-mails to keep them up on this.
I do not know how many people watched c-span tonight but Weldon was dynamic. The transcript will be posted and available soon. Those interviewing Freeh should ask him about Weldon's speech.
"How do we fight our own government, and why should we have to. "
I'm afraid that is part of the territory of being free men and women.
He's my Congressman ...
He's been all over this and he ain't backing down
Hang on, apparently, the repeat of Weldon will be on.
"Ive decided that most conspiracies aren't the result of malevolent intent, they're mostly the result of stupidity, embarrassment, and a wish to hide failure."
This one is.
Most are simply part of the routine operation of the worldwide organized hard left (WOHL).
Never forget it!
People who put it all on the line to defend our country do their part. Everyone can do their part to help the country.
Is this C-span 3? I only get C-span 1 and C-span2.
"That number is bogus, too. Something is up with Congressional toll free service. I used that number about two months ago and it worked then."
Thank you very much for telling me.
I'll do my best to update immediately.
Thank you for the ping, I heard part on Savage, it woke me up.....
Can't find it on the tv part of the radio, would like to hear it all.
My thanks to both Weldon and Savage, for getting the word out, on what is happening.
It got no print media attention and precious little from the electronic media.
which cspan?
It was on C Span 1.
He is most likely the only 'talker' who would do so.
The other day Sean said on his radio show. Don't buy Freeh's book, and then went on to hawk Dick Morris' book.
We need to demand that this story get some attention.
Our lives depend upon it.
And for that matter, the Jersey girls owe this administration an apology.

I wonder if Savage is going to have a defense fund for Schaeffer.
