The show is said to be "loosely based" on Kutcher's new family life, with some key variations, a 20th Century Fox Television spokesman said... set in Chicago rather than Hollywood, and centres on a 30-year-old nightclub owner and a fortysomething businesswoman who get married and discover they are expecting a child. At the same time, the woman's 22-year-old daughter announces she is pregnant and plans to move home to raise her baby - turning the show's leading man into a grandfather overnight.

I have been enjoying this older woman / younger man trend for awhile now...;')

I used to work with a woman who had (before I met her) become a grandmother at 27 (or perhaps it was 26 and x number of days); so yeah, I wholeheartedly agree. Not sure which concept (so to speak) would make a, hmm, better show. ;')
Sorry if your feelings are hurt. Certainly there are situations like you describe where the children involved set the type of relationship and that can help provide a family framework for the kid(s). If you can't see the problem of having the mother's new boyfriend being given some honorific title just because he married her and when there is, in fact, a real Dad involved actively with his children, then you can KMA.
I'm talking about situations where folks artificially and, usually, selfishly, try to re-arrange people to suit themselves.
I may not be the father (sperm donor) to my wife's daughters, but I certainly am Daddy. I've been more a father to them than their sire ever was.
>>>Too many women think they can define and re-define these things according to their latest romance.>>>
My stepfather and my father are two great, wonderful grandfathers to my children. My husband is my oldest two's 'Daddy' to them and him. Love can go beyond blood and I'm sure glad because their "real" father is a sonuvab*tch.
Sure is a whole lot of shakin' go on about this simple observation that some guy marrying Mom doesn't make him their kids' Dad or, subsequently, Grandpa to the children of those kids. I'm happy for all concerned when those relationships work as well as they sometimes do - and respect those relationships for the good that they provide - but it doesn't change the facts. And not all "real" fathers are sons of bitches.

Of course not!! But some 'unreal' fathers are Daddy's.
Country music star Loretta Lynn was (really) a grandmother at age 29.
I'm preparing to get flamed from all our hot 40-and 50-something Freeper ladies out there...but here goes:
At 27 (only a year ago), I found many 42 year old women attractive (esp. looking like Demi Moore).
But does Ashton think about when he's 42? She'll be 57!!! I doubt he'll be as hot for her then!
