Our district has had "pajama days" for several years in the elementary level where the kids are encouraged to wear their PJ's. We never allowed our girl to participate, we consider this foolish. Would you wear your pj's to the office as an adult? Hell no, you'd get a free trip to the mental health facility.
I think it would be good.
Thank you Boomer parents!
What an ignorant rationalization. Not surprising it comes out of the mouth of an 'educator'.
Next will be going to the bathroom at your desk.
I think its a respect thing for others and themselves.
And yep I've seen PJ's in chruch services already and flatly told my girls NO! all three of them.

When I was a kid I rember having a nightmare that I was in shcool at my desk and suddenly realized I was in my pajamas.
My kids wear pj's to school every day.
We homeschool!
Now if they wore them outside the house, Mommy wouldn't be happy.
The pajama pants actually cover them up more than the jeans with holes in them and the camisole tops many girls are wearing. And they cost less. I don't particularly care for either choice.
I tried to wear what I sleep in to work once. My boss said that if I show up naked again, I'd be out of a job.
"Some days you don't want to get dressed up for school. Like when it's raining and cold. You just want to be cozy," said Ben Lomond High School junior Elvia Escalante, 16.
....to this:
"They may be comfy, but it makes you look trashy and it gives you the idea you can just slack off for the day," said Ben Lomond High School senior Alena Marshall, 18.
Anyone care to guess will one will go to college and which one will be flipping burgers?
I live in the area covered by the story (Northern Utah) and it's really not as bad as it sounds. We're not talking pink satin shorties or negligees here.
Think loose, elastic waist, flannel pants with a plaid, stripe or whimsical pattern. IT's just the bottoms the kids are wearing, with a T-shirt for a top.
I agree, they are sort of sloppy and casual, but there are certainly worse things the girls have been wearing, like the painted-on low-rise jeans with the thong sticking out of the back.
I say find some other issue to get excited about - there are plenty.
This is old news. It's been happening for at least 6 years.
The kids in her school wore them when my college senior was in high school.
Remember these?
Pajama bottoms aren't obscene or sexually explicit, so I have no problem with it. If they want to wear them to school, more power to them.
I'm wearing PJs at work right now. Of course I work from home, but still doesnt' change the fact I'm wearing PJs at work.
Isn't all the huffing a puffing about what clothes kids wear silly? I'm sure people for generations have been complaining about it.
As for wearing the 'correct' clothing in church, isn't all the world God's House? God made you naked and throughout Christian history people wore different clothing to church. Early Chrisitan wore robes and sandals (or togas). Knights would go in ceremonial armor. Frontiersmen would hold prayers in buckskins and moccasins. I don't think God minds what you're wearing (within reason; I wouldn't show up to church today in plate-mail) when you pray to Him.
They have PJ Day where my grandchildren go to school. Girls even wear curlers in their hair, and no makeup.
