Why not? They wear them to church. (Heavy sigh...)

Michael Jackson wore his jammies to court.

I expect they're easier to whip off quick when mood dictates

This is hardly new. Kids have been doing this for at least five or six years. I agree, pick your battles. This too will pass.

My kids are wearing clothes still. You know the clothes manufacturers are using lining fabrics for clothing and making out like bandits. When will the consumers demand better and stop being so passive?

During my high school days I recall a young lady who was sent home to change - because she was wearing slacks. That year was 1967. But it was a private school.
And don't worry, the kids will begin wearing the PJs to mass - if they haven't already.
Geez.

Soon they'll just wear their underwear. On college campuses for the last few years, the "fashion" among even "respectable" kids has been to wear low-cut pants, so that underwear and, uh hum, what's under them, will show.

I haven't seen it at church yet, but it's nice to be prepared.

A good reason for a dress code and uniforms.

Next: underwear.Underwear is already highly visible. In fact, camisoles are accepted school/work/church fashion these days.

Yeah heard all the excuses before - pick and chose your battles, so far their modest, and they could be wearing something worse ... all you do is open the door for more trouble.
PJ's are NOT appropriate for school no matter how modest they are. Next we'll be having adults wearing them to work! This is just another sign of unchecked rebellion and people giving in.

I'm not sure PJs are any worse than the oversized pants boys have been wearing for a decade.

Next: underwear. You haven't see young girls already who wear a camisole without the blouse over it, as though it is a top?
To: Millee
You can thank the parents who want to be "cool".

Check this out: The popular girls at my daughter's high school take blankets to school to cover up with when they get cold. Not sweaters or parkas, but blankets. And the blankets all look alike. They are a status symbol.

Especially Sunday morning early service. Wonder if fuzzy slippers will be okay, too.
