Thank you.
This is an old stable Polish neighborhood. Well it used to be anyway. My dad graduated from Woodward High School. My family is from the 'other side' of the tracks from there. (Don't know if that's good or bad. lol)
It kills me to go visit the family in Toledo, especially a couple of my aunts who live in awful nidghbornhoods.
I'll be checking in. Looks like a riot and looting is breaking out among the 'anti-hate' protestors. :-(
Pinz
Good for you!
we need a scanner ping list....I was listening to FNC on my XM radio in my car, wondering if I could hear some flood coverage and that popped on unexpected.
I think those are all disenfranchised voters looting the gas station in Ohio...Overturning that car for KERRY
Nazis suck! Gimme my Nikes!
TPD caught a guy in the crowd with a gun at Central & Stickney...arrested him without incident.
Situation calmer now....MANY arrests.
Because many people on FR are like the rest of the sheep. They only support the constitution when it suits their needs.
Tom Metzger was found guilty of inciting murder AFTER skinheads attacked and murdered an Ethipian immigrant. Why was it a crime after the murder and not before? Because no-one acted on it? That defies logic.
Central & Stickney has been cleared out....huge TPD commitment in the area...Lucas Co. Sheriff is taking mutual aid calls elsewhere in parts of toledo.
BREAKING
Central & Mulberry, a bar has been broken into and is being looted.....shots fired.
What a bunch of animals.
Sub-human.
Would Toledo grant a permit to the KKK?
The cops need to get a clue and just take a step back. Say something like "You guys better stop that" and get out of the way.
Nazis suck! Gimme my Nikes!
Metzger wasn't found guilty of a crime, he lost a civil suit.
In this situation, it might be possible to sue either the Nazis or the LLL agitators for damages, but that is a different matter.
So the KKK is protesting "black crime" and the anti-Klan protesters are engaging in mass criminal activities.
Irony can be so ironic.
Do you not have a TV? This has been an ongoing roving riot for several hours now, new incidents are still being reported, including live shots on Fox right now of gangs breaking down doors of private houses.
Why was this pulled from Breaking News?
Very odd transmission heard just now....something about a settlement being discussed with clergy and community leaders?? Not sure what this is about.
How come FOX is the only media covering this?
What I was watching were not nazis but thugs throwing rocks in windows, tearing down fences and doing a bit of looting..
The protesters protesting the nazis are breaking into a house and vandalizing..Throwing rocks into homes in the neighborhood..
Exceptions established by the courts to the First Amendment protections include the following: Defamation; Causing panic; Fighting words; Incitement to crime; Sedition; Obscenity.
Fighting words: In the famous case of Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire, the U.S. Supreme Court held that the First Amendment does not protect "fighting words -- those which by their very utterance inflict injury or tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace." (315 U.S. 568, 572 [1942])
Note that the harm involved is physical harm caused by someone else who was provoked by the speaker whose speech is being suppressed. The fact that someone else flies into a rage and causes physical harm results in justifying suppression of speech by another person.
It is simply not a cut-and-dried issue.
