I think Bush has caused much of this. He seems to be a very gentle and forgiving man. I have never heard him say hateful things or even snide comments about any of those that oppose him.

Sometimes I think he turns the other cheek to much. He has stood up for both Blanco and Nagin, instead of pointing out where the REAL blame lies.

He has not taken the responsibility for the Louisiana fiasco, he took only the responsibility for the Fed.Gov. lack of response.

Agree with your assessment of President Bush. . .an honorable and humble man. . .and while there is genuine strength in being a statesman; a gentleman. . .when you have real enemies; you have to find a way to effectively 'deal' with them. Do not think he really goes there. ..

. . ..not the way many of us would like him to, for sure.

As for the Fed.Gov lack of response. . .yes, it was the Fed.Gov. problem; but thought according to every Demrat; that was the Louisiana fiasco ;^) . . .
