"US Flushed the Koran" Newsweek. Anyone need to know anything else?
Have you listened to any of the Conservatives like Ann COulter raving like a lunatic about George W Bush being a drunk while she hangs out with Bill Maher? Have you read some of the Threads in the last week where the so-called freepers team up with trolls from DU to trash Bush/miers? They have so much anger and hate that they do not even realize they are double-teaming Miers/Bush with Trolls. They have lost their ability to be a great freeper by zotting those DU trolls. They also do not correct anything wrong that is said, any of the lies, accusations, and sliming of Bush/Miers is never questioned. It as been a horrible week for Decency on some of these threads, it is truly heartbreaking.
They aren't because it's not coming from the Left. They think what's important to them, is important to the other 99.5 percent who don't agree with them.
Q. Does the Federalist Society take positions on legal or policy issues or engage in other forms of political advocacy?A. No. The Society is about ideas. We do not lobby for legislation, take policy positions, or sponsor or endorse nominees and candidates for public service. While overall the Society believes in limited government, its members are diverse and often hold conflicting views on a broad range of issues such as tort reform, privacy rights, and criminal justice.

Rush has his flashes of true greatness, total monolague on Fineman in the first 50 minutes--no callers!
Are you saying that the Bush Administration has no weaknesses?
Every human organization has weaknesses.
beandog, you know I know that. You've always been one of the best contributors...
A lot of us have gone NOPD lately. Don't despair, everyone's frustrated for one reason or another... you're with family, a dysfunctional family right now but still family.
I'm avoiding conclusion re: Ms. Miers until we hear from her. Listening and reading is like a good ping pong game. Back and forth. I'm just not sure where I stand. LOL!
Laura Ingrahams whole 3 hour show today....was her taking a poll by having her callers say whether Miers name should be withdrawn or not...
There were a few poor souls that tried to call in and say that she should at LEAST be able to go through the process...
BOY 0H BOY....wrong choice...Laura would come back at them with insults and put downs....it was totally beneath someone who thinks they are so much "above" Harriet Miers...snobbery at its ugliest!
MNJohnie, notwithstanding my last comment, great clarification of what Rush is saying.
You have Freepmail.
I don't think any of it is really about Miers. It's the hatred of George Bush. She just gives them an excuse.
Rush takes the column and compeltely blows Fineman to smithereens--for the entire hour! I'd listen 2-3 hours every day of Rush on fire like this...
Come on, let's put the "fun" back in dysfunctional! :-)
We are not like Democrats -- we can still appreciate each other if we disagree on something.
Well, as far as Miers is concerned, I am for Bush pulling her nomination vased on the information that is coming out. Her loyalty to President Bush just doesn't cut it.
What you don't understand Samantha is that what Laura Bush and the White House did to smear Conservatives who disagree with the Miers nomination (by calling them "sexists" and "elitists") was wrong. It did a lot more damage than the Conservatives who shot back saying that attack was grossly unfair and uncalled for.
If you refuse to see that, then the damage done will not heal.
100% right.
Had W appointed Rush his Press Secretary, there might have been far more interesting press briefings.
