The above post was not found at the Democratic Underground. It was not found at The Daily Kos. It was not found at MoveOn.org.
It appeared at The National Reviews Online blog "The Corner".
I wonder what William F. Buckley would think of this?

Feel free to let "K-Lo" what you thought of the post.

it's called a sense of humor.
You may want to invest in one some day.

Honest...wouldn't you rather have a dog on the SCOTUS than Beyer, Ginsburg or anyone that a President Hillary would appoint?

Checkers lost his sense of humor back when Nixon had to use him to save his political career. (This DOES strike kinda close to home to a FReeper named Checkers, no?)
Besides, I've read the European papers. Apparently Bush's lap dog is named "Tony Blair," not Barney.

Wouldn't a dog have to recuse itself in the following upcoming cases?
-Fido, et.al. vs. American Hydrant Manufactorers, Inc
-United States Postal Service vs. Spot

A "poodle" according to the Blair-haters.

Barney would be an improvement.

Rod's an emotional guy.
You should see him on the Church scandals.
Even so, I think Rod's tongue was in his cheek, but not firmly so. Because with Greenspan leaving, I confess I *am* worried about what Bush's personal accountant might be up to.
To: Checkers
Barney would, at the bare minimum, be an improvement on Ginsberg, Breyer and Souter. By the way, Souter, with Harvard undergrad and law degrees, plus a second bachelor's and master's from Oxford (Rhodes Scholar, you know), plus twelve years as a judge, plus a decade as an assistant attorney general, Deputy AG and AG of New Hampshire, is the very poster child for "
this is the best of the best?"ism.
And I'd trade Barney for one of any number of judges on the Ninth Circuit in, oh, a heartbeat or so. Steve Reinhardt (Pomona College and Yale Law, a solid runner-up poster child to Souter) would be particularly good trade bait.

That remark was WAY over the top, but don't blame K-Lo. If she scrubbed every controvertial statement typed on the fly, The Corner wouldn't be worth visiting. I'm iffy on the whole Miers mess, but let's not rip our fellow conservatives apart.

Truman once said that if you want a friend in DC then get a dog. Since Bush is so loyal to his friends, why not Barney?

Just did....thought it was a great humorous posting. Oh...BTW, you folks are really desperate when you start entire threads on a single blog posting.
