LOL! Sorry for the faux pas. I should have looked at the typo. My apologies to the lovely and talented Ann Coulter. She should have been named if the Administration was looking for a conservative lawyer. And she would have killed the Democrats at the hearings!

Which of those things tells you that she understands how to interpret the Constitution with an originalist philosophy? The White House apparently doesn't think so, since they are now selling her as a conservative activist who will decide cases based on her personal religious beliefs.

Ann has become a useful idiot for the other side.

This is just unbelieveable.

What is her experience in constitutional law?

She looked shopworn, too much makeup, way too much eye makeup. She always has looked like a wet hound after a coon hunt.

Let me just say, if the top male lawyer in the country is John Roberts and the top female lawyer is Harriet Miers, we may as well stop allowing girls to go to law school. Ouch.

Ain't that the truth. This is truely a time when the far right and the far left have met up.

Ann. Thanks for saying what needed to be said. You rock.

That's her point - Ruth Bader Ginsburg has superb legal qualifications. Harriet Miers has none unless you count her friendship with the President and her sex. There's already a woman on the court. Did we need a quota pick? I know the answer to that question. I believe in merit and excellence. Miers may be a lovely and talented woman but what we've learned in two weeks is she doesn't have the resume to sit on our nation's highest court. Not alongside Ginsburg.

Actually, it all depends on how Miers (and Roberts) end up ruling once they're on the bench. If Ann's right, then the i-told-you-so quotient alone will carry her for at least a decade.

Coulter continues to sink into bimboism, by acting like she owns the Supreme Court and that only when someone passes HER tests, do they deserve to be on the court. She thinks Bush should be honest and say Miers was nominated because she has a vagina and because she's a Bush best friend.

I wonder if some people has read the Constitution about the requirements for a Supreme Court nonimnee?? It looks like they haven't...

I'm sure she's a lovely woman, brighter than average, and well-qualified for many important jobs. Just not the job Bush has nominated her for. Starting to sound like Ann doesn't like the basic "little" person. Next she is going to start spouting that we are too dumb to choose our own leaders just like Walter Cronkite. I don't mind if she disagrees with the choice but her columns lately have made it clear that she thinks most of us "average" college alumns are subpar.
