All corporations have legal eagles who THOUROUGHLY do background checks on any person or company they have dealings with. To not do so is corporate suicide. They knew.
I never bought any of their stuff because our daughter didn't particularly like them, and I wasn't going to spend that much on a doll, anyway. ;o)
