Is it possible that Frum is worked up because he has first hand knowledge having worked with Miers and the White House staff and he knows how huge a mistake this nomination is

Let's look at this great "pit bull" Miers. Why does Reid like her so much? Because she never takes a position on a controversial issue. If you look at the Pubs stealth nominees to SCOTUS they are almost always turned to liberals. Why? Because the RATS put the most strident ideologs they can get on the SCOTUS. Why have Scalia and Thomas been such bright stars of conservatism? Because they were strong outspoken voices of conservatism before they were nominated, can any of that be said for Miers? NO! What can be said for Miers nobody truly knows where she stands on the great issues of the day.
