What has she ever done to advance the cause of a conservative judiciary? Vetted a few judges? What has Frum done except bellyache? Vetting conservative judges is no small deal, except to you.
For that matter, what have YOU done? Do you know anything about these judges and their philosophies, or do you wait for David Frum's column to tell you what to think about them?
Miers is NOT going home, and will likely be confirmed. You can sulk like a two-year old and start voting for some sex-drugs-n'-rock-n'-roll third party, or you can grow up and continue to work for conservative candidates.

(If you're not willing to give Harriett Miers a hearing, I don't give a damn what you think.)

Attacking Frum, or his motives, will not alter the essential point which is Miers was clearly not the strongest candidate available for SCOTUS. She has no history that gives one comfort she can withstand the pressures of the office. You knew Scalia and Thomas would handle the pressure because of their history of having done so throughout their lives.
We fought for 30 years to overturn the tyranny of the court and now when the opportunity is presented we are left with question marks.

What has Frum done except bellyache?...For that matter, what have YOU done? Neither Frum's grousing nor Litte Ray's torpor has any bearing on whether Miers is a suitable candidate for the Supreme Court.
If Frum was cheerily positive and Little Ray a dynamo of activity Miers would still be a mediocrity and a cipher.
How about trying to convince us that Miers is a pick that advances the conservative cause?

I'm not up for a spot on the Supreme Court and neither is Frum. They put me up for one - well, I couldn't go. Don't know enough to do the job.
You are correct. Miers will likely be confirmed - and turn into Ms. Souter or worse.
Doubt I'm going to vote FOR anybody for President, given Republican fecklessness, Losertarian weirdness, and Democrat evil. Going to have to check out Issakson, Chambliss and Deal to see if they behaved themselves during the current excesses of our Republican Congress.
When the 'Pubbies start offering conservative candidates, I'll support 'em. President Bush ain't a conservative.
