These folks from hicksville who seem to have taken over the city since the Giussolini era are some of the most clueless a--holes I have ever met. They think New York is a more congested version of the suburban and rural areas they left. Same goes for the Eurotrash who come to NYC and decide to raise children.

I know one wealthy arty couple here who tried the same thing.
Their little boy lasted about two weeks in public school as a minority peckerwood kid. Raised by pacifists didn't help either, the color barrier notwithstanding.
Back to private school for him.
Mom is a performance artist.
Dad is very liberal.
The kid's pre-school and first 5 grades had been here:

it is the school system's job to make sure they are,No, it's her job. If the kids are in danger , remove them.

There are good schools in Brooklyn. I know several parents who have their kids in public school.

Hopefully, word gets out so that these hicks from Oklahoma and Ohio decide to stick with Manhattan, thereby making Brooklyn Brooklyn again instead of Manhattan East. The Yuppification of Brooklyn has gone too far.

So what's she complaining about? She wanted to experience
diversity. She did.
"Fate is kind. It gives you what you want.
It brings to every heart its secret longing."
She got what she wished for. The least she could do is thank Fate. What an ingrate!

Uh, let's see -- I take two kids from the sticks who probably have southern accents and drop them in Crown Heights. Gee, what could happen?

I would not send any child to a NYC public school. Period.

Mom was sent to Catholic school, largely due to the fact that she lived on the edge of the ghetto (one block away as a matter of fact) and would have been a minority among you know who. Nevertheless, she had to RUN through the last block to her school in order to avoid the rocks, bottles and worse that were thrown her way. My aunt experienced far worse.

Usually, when parents make a move, they do a little research into the school they will be enrolling their children in. Did this mother do that?

She says "it's the school systems job to keep them safe"...what..is this woman completely out of her mind. This is bleeding heart liberalism at it's best. Sending her kids into that situation is nothing short of child abuse. Would she have walked into a bar or night club in the same neighborhood? No, of course not..but she blindly sends her kids into a place where it's obvious they're going to get their asses kicked in every single day.. Wake up do-good liberals, you're the ones who created this mess in the first place.
