Jeez, that's lame. An AIRSTRIKE? C'mon. Where's the ineffective peacekeepers standing there in their blue helmets while the enemy pillages the women and rapes the sheep?

Dang, there goes my Matchbox Car Air Force again! B-)
NewsMax.com: "UNICEF BOMBS SMURF VILLAGE" (ARTICLE SNIPPET: "UNICEF, the United Nations Childrens Fund, in an anti-war fit, recently scared children in Belgium. Many went to bed crying and screaming after the broadcast of an "animated TV special" that featured the bombing of Smurf Village, home to the kid-friendly blue cartoon characters popular in the 1980s.") (October 10, 2005)
Smurf fans, meanwhile, took the attack in stride. On one Web site, a fan blamed the Smurf-hating sorcerer Gargamel for the airstrike and suggested sending in a mission to search for weapons of mass smurfstruction.

I am troubled, however, of the use of a children's cartoon in this manner by UNICEF. They are taking something nice and light, created for children's enjoyment, ostensibly innocent and are corrupting it.
Should I expect better from the UN, who brought you the blue-helmeted kiddie rapers of Africa?
Of course, the terrorists were hiding behind innocent Smurf women and children, with their Smurffire missles and SMIRV nuclear warheads, planning to carry out Smurfaggedon.
