There was Abe Fortas - LBJ's nomination that was rejected by the Senate. Senate Republicans should make it clear to the President Miers is not acceptable to them and urge the Administration to withdraw her nomination. Its time to start over and do it right.

Abe Fortas was confirmed to the Supreme Court as an Associate Justice. He was rejected for Chief Justice not because of his connection to LBJ but becuase he was caught engaging in financial impropriety from the bench. No one has accused Harriet Miers of such behavior.
Why can't people at least give her a chance to make her case?
Incidently, Joe Farah has credibility problems of his own.
