Give the woman a chance to speak! This is not cronyism... far from it!

She is going through hell to get confirmed!

If Bill Clinton appointed a personal White House aide to be a Supreme Court justice, we'd be against it. I am against cronyism regardless of party. There are more qualified individuals to serve on our nation's highest court.

I suspect your right in the last sentence. I also believe that she is basically a decent and honest person. But I also think she is devoid of any serious qualifications for this job. her judicial philosophy is not the issue to me. Within a very few limits presidents get to pick who they want to sit on the Court unless they are total wing nuts. Its one of the bennies of winning an election. I even defended Bill Clinton's right to appoint who he wanted.

The issue here is not philosophy its her qualifications. The only ones I can see are that she is a (presumably) competent lawyer. Her resume is so thin that if she is a supreme court material I am thinking that any lawyer who has not been disbarred or shown to be a moron is a potential SCOTUS justice. I think this is really only the second time where I have had a really serious policy disagreement with this president. She is not qualified and she should not be confirmed. I think she might make a great choice for a district court justice or maybe an circuit appellate judge (stretching it a bit there). But no way does she have the qualifications for the top court.

After hearing this RINO on Rush today, the chairman specter, showing his "rooster" breast pumped up, I think it about time this idiot again gets some serious e-mail and faxes from FReepers!??!
