"Bill Bennettt's comments set back civil rights 50 years", says Sheila Jackson Lee

I was just listening to the Ed Schultz show on Air America. He was trying to defend the whipping he got from Dennis Prager of Schutlz's misquotes of Bill Bennett. Needing help, he brought on Sheila Jackson Lee (I wonder if she has found the flag that our astronauts placed on Mars). In speaking about how bad Bennett's comments were to the black race, she said, "Bill Bennettt's comments set back civil rights 50 years".

I wonder how much Bennett could set back the civil rights if he did say something bad about the black race.

Sheila Jackson Lee has set back the advancement of coherent human thought 5,000 years.

I suspect, rather, Ms. Lee presumes too much of 'civil rights', of black/white relations. It ain't so black/white.

Funny, I live in the south and have yet to see any "whites only" drinking fountains or cafes.
You know, like 50 years ago.

Haaaaaa, Sheila Jackson Lee, what a joke. How would she know since her reality is pre-civil war.

How much power do they think this man has?!
Here's the question...
Do black leaders who say things like this actually believe it or are they trying to trick their followers into believing something they themselves don't believe?

Who knew Bill Bennett was this powerful? Has anybody checked his whereabouts when those levees were being blown up in New Orleans?

50 years? Wouldn't that be about 10 years before Republicans passed the Civil Rights Act?

The seven other listeners were outraged. Ed Schultz is boring. I wish the left would come up with somebody entertaining.

Of course that's exactly what Lee, Jackson, the NAACP and others all want. The longer they keep black folks down, the longer they'll have a cause to get rich off of. I hear they are going to give Bennett a medal later this month for the Advancement of the NAACP Agenda. What he did with a few words did more than they had been doing for the past 15 years.

Prager has challenged Schultz to a debate duel now that Schultz declined his offer to come on his show. Apparently Schultz told his audience he would, but has declined the offer.
Click here for a link to contact Schultz and ask him why he won't debate Prager.
I'm sure he and his staff are standing by...

Do you think she has any idea how ridiculous she sounds? She is giving old Bill way too much credit here. LOL
