We were very lucky to survive such a corrupt person being in the highest office.
I am firmly convinced that if not for the symbiotic relationship between him and the Media in this country ( one fed off of, and enabled the other ) he would have finally been prosecuted, and been remembered as "just one more corrupt Southern Governor."
But he got high enough to deflect investigations that were ongoing- like the tainted blood scandal.
If you ever see a copy, read "Cover-Up" by David Bresnahan-- he gives a "how he did it" outline, starting with the million-dollar tax and interest-free loans Clinton got for all his friends, from the Arkansas Development Authority. Once he had so many influential people beholden to him, it was clear sailing to the highest office in Arkansas. The rest, as they say, is history.
The problem remains: many feeble Americans love and adore the alias Bill Clinton and will never believe the truth about that "young man" who "cares."
Oh I am VERY familiar with the tainted blood scandal. I have a hemopheliac son who has Hep C from tainted blood. Fortunately he is healthy, no liver damage, completely normal liver function tests each year and he is not a drinker. But as anybody knows, Hep C is called the silent killer. Oh yes, Bill Clinton has "touched" my family personally!! CO
