There may be indictments, disclosures, embarrassments in store for the democrats in the pipeline that may make a hardline Conservative easier to get through in the next three years.... a complete unknown may be right for this point in time. (unknown to everyone but Bush).

I think the action is in getting the Presidency again in 2008 for four more years.
Stevens might drop before Bush leaves, but I think he and Ginsberg with her cancer will be for sure gone by 2012 under any conditions.

So for me, I think we need the Presidency in 2008. The Federal and Supreme court seats would be huge.
