Let's just say I prefer the raw data on the individual, especially with the historic performance of Pubbie SCOTUS picks (50% conservative, 25% moderate, 25% liberal) and the leftward tilt exerted on most Justices once they reach the bench. What I've seen so far is not nearly enough to convince me that the trend has been busted (with Roberts taking the 1-in-2 conservative role); the best I can say is that it's more likely that Miers will be a moderate Justice than a liberal one.

I think it is obvious that knowing her ten or more years at arms length gives Bush a good knowledge about how she thinks.
Your acting like he is clueless about this woman and the situation is the exact opposite.
