The other day Daniel Pipes made the same point. The Religion Of Peace TM is changing Western mores and values in seemingly insignificant ways so that most non-Muslims don't realize the extent of the loss. But it all begins to add up. Will Western freedoms still be intact a generation from now? That's the real issue that will determine the fate of England - as well as Europe.

...a famous piece of porcine statuary in Derby that the council had decided not to have repaired on the grounds that it would offend Muslims.Next step: Europe will decide not to maintain the cathedrals and religious paintings, since, you know, some Muslim somewhere just might be offended.

Sorry, Steyn is wrong! It pains me greatly to say this, but Mark Steyn is wrong! We need to remove all vestiges of the dirty pig from all American life.
Thus, we get rid of the Senate King of Pork, Robert "Sheets" Byrd.
See, there is a benefit to capitulating to TROP.

Alas, the United Kingdom's descent into dhimmitude is beyond parody. Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Tory-controlled) has now announced that, following a complaint by a Muslim employee, all work pictures and knick-knacks of novelty pigs and "pig-related items" will be banned. Among the verboten items is one employee's box of tissues, because it features a representation of Winnie the Pooh and Piglet. And, as we know, Muslims regard pigs as "unclean", even an anthropomorphised cartoon pig wearing a scarf and a bright, colourful singlet. Wake the heck up Brits!

"What will be deemed "unacceptable" in the interests of "tolerance" in 20 or even five years' time?"
It won't matter, since either they'll be the ones fully in charge (and the rest of us won't be around to complain), or they'll all be getting boinked by Helen Thomas lookalikes in whatever the Muzzle-em version of gehenna is.

What a sad bunch of Eeyores! Both the Muslims and those bending to them. If Allah is intimidated by little Piglet he must be the wimpiest excuse for a god in history. I could understand if it were Muppet kleenex; Miss Piggy takes no prisoners! This intolerant ban on pig art blocks the greatest contributions to art from we pig headed Iowans. Some (Minnesotans would say most) of our cutest (MInnesotans would add smartest) residents are pigs. Heck we even shaped the state like a pig. Do they want to wipe us from the map?

Sick! What next? Still begs the question: Why do we have to give in to their religious preferences, in our own country, and yet they give no tolerance at all to any one else's religious beliefs, etc.? PC is nonsense forced on the rest to make us all feel humiliated and afraid. It's time to stand up and say, "Enough is enough!"

Oh yes they do. That is their sole aim. All of us must go, convert, or become slaves. The more radical elements make no pretense and state this openly. The "moderates" wish to do the same in more indirect ways. The end result will be the same for us all. BAN CULT OF ISLAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW does anyone know if Black Jack Pershing's executions via pork fouled bullets really keeps Muslims from entering heaven. If any part of their body is contaminated does that mean they don't get into heaven? If this is so, any suicide bomber that takes me out automatically gets a pork infusion. Go straight to hell, do not pass go, do not collect 72 virgins.
