Like sheep to the slaughterer, Dobson no more knows if Miers will be a Conservative on social issues or not. Another opinion from an optimist is hardly worth the paper it's written on.

Exactly. And he admits it too.

Dobson is simply acting how he generally does regarding "Republican issues"..

Give me a break. Do really think Miers spent 25 years as one of Bush's most loyal supporters will turn around and totally betray him. Would you expect her counterpart in the Clinton Whitehouse, say Bob Bennett, to do the same? Miers is known for her loyalty. She might be a hack, but she aint a liberal. You are suffering from Souter paranoia.

I really think James Dobson KNOWS SOMETHING or he would not make such a firm commitment so quickly. He must know her or be very aware of her as a person.

Do the math:

Bush = Conservative.

Bush + 10 Years of dealing with Miers = Knowledge of judicial philosophy.

Thus, unless Bush is a liar, and has been faking it for the past 10 years for reasons that make no sense, he's sure she's a conservative.

And I'll cut him that much slack unless I have a good reason not to.
