"I think the pick is designed to avoid more controversy. The pick is designed to appease. I can't tell you how that disappoints me."
Testing the wind...Rush knows this is unpopular and is fishing for a way to support Bush.
BB = BushBot
Now prepare for the Bushbots to hijack this thread. If Rush doesn't like the pick but Harry Reid does, no matter. The Exalted King George made his decision, let us all kneel before him in awe.
Hey Rush. This is the second SCOTUS bird Bush flipped at you. Get used to it.
Sorry, you don't just pick fights to pick fights. It's dumb strategy. Washington didn't believe in that; neither did Reagan. You strategerize to WIN, not to pick fights. It's immature of Rush to say this.
Hmmm....Rush did not get his Bush-Bot talking points as described previously, did he...
"The caveat is, I don't know this woman. She could end up being fabulous." Rush then goes on to say, "Why do we have to roll the dice?"
RUSH:
"Bush...weak...pick...designed to appease..."
this pick makes Bush look WEAK - per Rush - lots of red flags
Rush- Hard to resist pull to be angry..or depressed...but doesn't know where he'll ultimately land on this.
Reasons why: believes it was made from a point of weakness.
-Knows nothing about her
-President's opponents praise offer red flag
-possibility giant rope a dope (he knows her well, we don't)
Main reason dislikes it is because it makes it look as though he appeased the Democrats.
caveat- Don't know this woman. Could be fabulous, doesn't know. Why take the risk? Trust the President. Want to trust.
A lot of us feel we're in a genuine war with left wing, direction of the country at stake.
Huh? Picking a fight? Running the executive and legislative branch as the majority party and selecting someone who the opposition would oppose is picking a fight? Remind me to never share a foxhole with you.
When he's positive, he's good.
When he started off by saving that it's hard not to be "pulled" to the criticism of this nominee.....that was all I needed to hear.
I actually had a little hope that Rush wasn't so influenced by others, but I was wrong.
RUSH:
"...all the spending..where`s the conservatism?..."
That is not true.....and a helluva way to describe someone who is arguably one of three or four of the most important conservative voices of the past 25 years.
Until the Conservatives get "60 Conservatives Senators"
you can't win a Conservative Supreme Court Nominee >
