The reason we're unhappy (to put it mildly) is because he RENEGGED ON HIS WORD and did not pick a justice "in the mold of Scalia and Thomas". FNC just said.."a number of Democrats suggested she would be a good choice". And THIS makes you comfortable?!! She has ZERO judicial experience. THIS is qualification to be on SCOTUS?!! For the love of God!

Since when have the dems ever spoken what they are really thinking. Perhaps dingy harry is blowing smoke.

Don't use God's name in vain in your rant.

How about posting some FACTS to prove that assertion.

We can all wait.

While I am sure that this is initially disappointing, let's atleast give her a chance.

It would be great to send someone to Committee who we KNOW is pro-life, but if Roe v. Wade is ever to be overturned, it will be done so perhaps in a way that none of us have thought of yet. That's what intrigued me about CJ Roberts: his total command of the justice system and the Constitution.

Let's wait and see what Weapons of Mass Obstruction are leveled against her.

If nothing else, the Dems will tip their hand, Limbaugh will expose them, and Alan Colmes will look silly tonight trying to tar-and-feather Harriet Miers.

(I'll make a deal with you: let's both pray about this and see how we feel afterwards.) ;)

Thank you. My thoughts exactly.
Of course, some Freepers will now accuse you of being a "drama queen" and "whining" and a DU spy... blah, blah, blah... when, in fact, they're as intolerent of contrary opinions as any RAT could possibly be.

Well, to all of you smirkers... This is a discussion board, and if GWB does something a bunch of us thinks SUCKS (uh, oh! I must be immature, too, huh?) we're going to say it. And if you whine that we're "whining" or that we're "breaking up the party" etc -- screw you. I'd rather be part of breaking up a party than a non-thinking party HACK, willing to accept any kind of political betrayal rather than rock the boat.

RECALL:

"A number of Democrats" said Roberts was a good choice, too.

I don't think that gives us any clue at all.
