Really into wishful thinking aren't you? There is no way this woman fits the "Scalia/Thomas mold" that Bush PROMISED us. Nice way for him to stab us in the back though.

I have yet to meet ANY woman lawyer who fits in the Scalia/Thomas mold.

This is ESPECIALLY true of a woman lawyer who is politically cut throat enough to be VOTED BY OTHER LAWYERS to be the head of a state's mandatory bar.

When was this alleged promise made? I can only recall President Bush stating that Scalia and Thomas were his favorite Justices when asked which Justices he had a preference for.

Bush promised a Scalia/Thomas. If he had said that he would appoint someone "that Harry Reid likes" he would have lost the election.

How can they not know, that this choice was going to P-off "their" base?
