Seems like I keep having to say 'read it again'. But that's part of the problem, too many people ASSUMING too much too early in the process.
Initial disappointment is one thing, and understandable. Declaring that one is going to sit out or join a 3rd party is quite another.
I agree with what you say about running from the party, but IF it turns out the party diverges en masse from your core beliefs, then it's time to leave.
