Well, and the fact she has absolutely no qualifications for the job other than she is President Bush's friend. No academic writings, no academic record, never been a judge. Other than that, she is just swell.
I can stomach all the points you mentioned (and agree the marriage issue is grossly unfair). The fact she has no business being a nominee for an appellate court position, let alone the Supreme Court, when there were many qualified conservative nominees is what is unacceptable.
Every time some huge spending bill got pushed through, all we heard was "just be patient, it is all about the judges". Well, this is what we got.
I hope it looks better tomorrow, but for today I plenty angry.

Amen. My patience has officially run out. I will not give these squishy faux conservatives another opportunity to stab me in the back.
All you out there that think that social conservatives will continue to hold their noses at the polls, are about to get a rude awakening. We have principles and if it means letting this country see how bad it can get, then so be it.

I agree. She seems to be the anti-Roberts. He had every qualification for the job. She has none. He was first in his class at Harvard, clerked for Rehnquist, worked for a major league law firm, and sat on the DC Circuit. She graduated from a second-rate law school, was managing partner of a firm I have never heard of, and was President of the Texas State Bar Association. So what? Heck, my neighbor was President of the California State Bar, and he's not Supremes material.
Even if she does turn out to be a conservative, does she have the intellectual fire power to help move the Court to the right? The evidence would seem to indicate that she does not. What a wasted opportunity.
