Are we not discussing the new nominee? This is not a hijack. Did you catch my eminent domain concerns? Probably not. Harriet Miers might not be the conservative many conservatives were hoping for. Time will tell.
I missed the original Terri Schiavo comment, but I've seen nearly a dozen complaints that someone dared to mention her name.
I don't know why Terri isn't relevant to this thread. We need justices who stand up for the basic constitutional rights to life and liberty. We need justices who will reverse the judicial tyranny that has brought unlimited abortion and judicial murder to our country. These are fundamental issues.
If Miers is not reliable on these issues, then this is a deal breaker for me and for millions of Christian conservatives who voted Republican in the last couple of elections.
