I missed the original Terri Schiavo comment, but I've seen nearly a dozen complaints that someone dared to mention her name.

I don't know why Terri isn't relevant to this thread. We need justices who stand up for the basic constitutional rights to life and liberty. We need justices who will reverse the judicial tyranny that has brought unlimited abortion and judicial murder to our country. These are fundamental issues.

If Miers is not reliable on these issues, then this is a deal breaker for me and for millions of Christian conservatives who voted Republican in the last couple of elections.

Thank you, Cicero. The flood of posts after I mentioned Terri Schiavo only once initially shows me that there are still too many freepers who don't get the big picture which is the chipping away of all of our rights.

Disabled rights are just one example.

Fla. Rep. Dave Simmons of the House Judiciary Committee said to me "Terri will be martyred." He's the head of the judiciary committee. They wanted a martyr, well, they created her.
