Me too. I actually thought it was some major steering malfunction. But when that second plane hit "the lights came on."

When the first plane hit, I thought it was a horrible accident -- never gave terrorism a thought.

The first thing I heard that morning was from the cruise ship captain on the PA system: "America has been attacked, New York and Washington DC are in flames".

I still didn't expect terrorism. Instead, I thought of some rogue former USSR dude lobbing missles at us or something.
