By "developing" I don't mean recent, but only that the coalition is spreading and getting bigger.
One source of the current terrorism is Saudi Wahhabism. Another is Arab nationalism, which developed in Egypt during and after WW II as a toxic mix of Communism, Naziism, and Islam.
But it has been spreading much more widely, and antisemitism has been growing along with it in all sorts of intellectual circles where you didn't see it (openly, at least) 10 years ago. It used to be Said and Chomsky and a few others; now it's virtually all the college leftists.
