I just saw a quick blurb on the news that a tanker accident had closed the road (as far as I know the ONLY road) leading to the FL Keys. I will look for more info. to confirm.

Seven Mile Bridge leading to lower Keys closed after crash

The Associated Press

October 03, 2005

The Seven Mile Bridge, connecting the Florida Keys, was closed Monday after a fatal tanker crash.

A tanker truck transporting gasoline was traveling south on the bridge around 5 p.m when the driver lost control and collided with a sport utility vehicle, causing a fire, said Lt. Pat Santangelo, the Florida Highway Patrol's spokesman.

The male drivers of the truck and the SUV died, while a female passenger in the SUV was air lifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami in serious condition Monday evening, Santangelo said.

Firefighters battled the blaze for about two hours before it was extinguished. The bridge will be closed at least until Tuesday evening for cleanup, Santangelo said

Too many roads closed.

A warning?

It was a miracle that it did not happen during the hurricaines.

I am back to KOA Denver, he said another road is closed, bad accident with people ejected from the vehicle.

Every truck that is wrecked, makes our costs higher.

I am firmly convinced that the best investment today is
Toilet Paper, the shipping costs will push the price way up there, they will want to haul a heavier load, and at least make back the money spent on fuel. The price is going way up, $4 or $5.00 a roll.......
