ARTICLE SNIPPET: "UPPER MARLBORO, Md. - An accused cop killer could face the death penalty in Prince George's County.
Prosecutor Glenn Ivey is pursuing his second capital punishment case in three years -- this time against 43-year-old Robert Billett. The Jamaican national allegedly shot and killed a police officer during a gun battle that erupted following a June 21 traffic stop in Laurel.
Ivey says Corporal Steven Gaughan was killed while performing his police duties, and Billett committed murder in an effort to evade arrest."
