The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Home grown Islamists may hit US: FBI chief

WASHINGTON -- The United States could be attacked by "home grown" Islamist terror groups, the FBI's chief has warned.

FBI Director Robert Mueller told the London Financial Times newspaper in an interview published Thursday that the United States could face attacks from "home-grown terrorism" very similar to the July 7 bombings in London that killed 52 people and wounded another 700, Mueller said.

When asked if the United States could face such attacks from "home-grown groups", Mueller answered emphatically: "Absolutely, it could," the Financial Times said.

2 women plead innocent in fatal hit-and-run

Innocent pleas were entered Wednesday during the arraignments of two young women facing charges in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Mesa.

Muneerah Ali Al-Tarrah, 22, and Reem Ahmad Bisharra, 19, are charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident. They also face misdemeanor charges

The accident occurred in the early morning of Sept. 14. The women were driving separate vehicles and police allege both struck the victim, who was riding a motorized skateboard. (snip)

The earlier protests were virgin protests, just for practice, the last one was 'seeded', makes it more exciting.

40,000 hispanic muslims, that is thanks to the open border, if you listen to some of the early protest tapes of the mayor of Los Angeles and his group, you will be sure that you are listening to a group of palestinians out dancing in the street to celebrate an enemies death.

3 Foiled Attacks Aimed At Targets Inside U.S.

WHITE HOUSE -- President George W. Bush says the United States and its partners have disrupted at least 10 al-Qaida plots since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, including three planned for inside the U.S.

Bush delivered what the White House called a "major" speech on the war on terror and how Iraq fits into the struggle.

Bush compared the war on terrorism to the struggle against communism. He also said there can be no negotiating with terrorists.

"No act of ours invited the rage of the killers and no concession or appeasement will change or limit their plans for murder," Bush said.

The president vowed the terrorists would eventually be defeated.

"We will never back down, never give in and never accept anything less than complete victory," he said.

The speech to the National Endowment for Democracy was originally planned for the Sept. 11, 2001, anniversary observances, but was postponed because of Hurricane Katrina.

It comes against a background of slumping poll support for the Iraq conflict, despite continued backing for battling terror networks.

President Bush just stated that 3 al Qaida plots to take place inside the United States were thwarted since 9/11.

Vel - do you think the report about OBL surfacing after the next attack in the US had anything to do with W's speech this morning? Maybe a major attack was thwarted recently (OU perhaps?)
