That has been my take too, and I have no doubts they will use the precident if not stopped.

The following is a moving essay, one with which I can personally identify.
The Life That Terri Schiavo Left Behind
.........................
From the St. Louis Archdiocese, (subscription)
Although Terri Schindler Schiavo has been dead for more than six months, her memory still lives on, thanks to family members who continue to spread the message of her story.
Terri, who suffered from brain damage and died in March after her feeding tube was removed, the result of a highly publicized and embroiled family battle, was the topic of a workshop on end-of-life issues presented by her brother, Bobby Schindler, at the 29th annual archdiocesan Respect Life Convention in Downtown St. Louis Oct. 16.
Speaking to a standing-room-only crowd of more than 300, Schindler shared the timeline of the last 15 years of his sisters life and the facts surrounding her case, which he said "were rarely reported by the media."

I have reason to believe that Terri's foundation will be made aware of Jimmy Chambers if they haven't as of this post.
The dear man decided he wanted to live! Let him live! This is like rock v. paper except the game is now paper vs. human and the paper wins?????

Yep, and what's next if they get this precedent? They'll use it to get more precedents, each one built on the previous one. So next will be the ability to kill an unwilling person without family involvement. Then, to kill someone who flunks an HMO bean counter's cost/benefit analysis. Euthanasia by spreadsheet. Finally - in this world of PC Groupthink gone mad - the idea will be promoted that anyone who has too many non-PC ideas must have a terrible quality of life, an euthanasia would be a merciful thing to end their suffering. Poor things, just couldn't adjust to the right-thinking utopian paradise where we're "all one" in the glorious new age.
Watch for it. And that's my rant for this evening...
