It is a responsibility he has embraced, prosecuting 15 high-profile cases against Republican and Democratic politicians during his 27 years in office. Many have drawn sharp criticism from both parties

It would appear your own source contrdicts your claim troll. 15 procecutions against both Dems And Republicans not against Dems. Funny how none of your Earle lovers can give any specifics about his supposed Democrat Party prosecutions. Why is that?

The excrement with NO and LA must be pretty bad for the Dems to trot this out now. I'd figured on them waiting a while.

I knew Earle would do it. I just thought he wouldn't do it until early next year.

But you can be certain that this was coordinated with the DNC, and they chose this timing. Maybe it's because of the Supreme Court openings. Maybe it's because of Blanco and Nagin.

I don't know.

But if you read the text of the actual indictment, it's just a bald assertion that DeLay entered into an agreement to skirt campaign finance laws. There's nothing at all alleged fact-wise to back that up. No dates, no conversations, no nothing.

On another thread, they said he had gone after Jim Maddox - a dim, who was anti-Earle. Maddox is no longer in TX politics.

grandstanding megalomaniac to a leadership position especially when all Tancredo does is trash other members of the party

And you'd like to site what examples to back that up? Tancredo speaks of fiscal responsibility and immigration/border enforcement - things the GOP isn't interested in anymore (note my tagline).

This is awesome, now all you self-rightous, self serving repukes can prove your promise to hold steady for accountability. Defend the charges you chickenshits, don't attack the charger.

Time to put up or shut up

Speak of the devil!

Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

That was almost on que.

Except that he's indicted Democrat and Republican politicians alike, often to anger up the respective parties when he's done so. So much for the wishful thinking fallacy that Earle is just a mean, evil partisan hack who'll do anything to take down the pristine, pure, GOP, eh?

Except that your statement is inaccurate at best, and more likely an outright falsehood on your part. Earle has a well demonstrated track record of filing trivial and unfounded indictments against GOP politicians. If he has occasionally brought an indictment against democrat politicos it has been reluctantly and only to protect his own backside. Check out which indictments have been thrown out because they completely lacked any merit. Those have been against GOP leaders. This is nothing but a partisan witchhunt, and your protestations to the contrary are the only thing laughable at the moment.

His "charge" against DeLay is conspiracy, suggesting that DeLay had some conversation with someone where they talked about a fundraiser, knowing that there was something illegal about it. This was the ONLY thing he could charge DeLay for

Thanks for that.

Imagine your local county prosecuter finding someone illegally sent money to Nancy Pelosi, and then bringing her up on conspiracy charges because he hates democrats.

Well, hypothetically, if evidence was discovered that Pelosi had knowledge that she was accepting the money illegally, that would be great. I'd love to see her career go the way of Grey Davis.

Thanks.

>You do know about Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radical, don't you?<

You'd think the Republicans would have this figured out by now, but it seems that, like Charlie Brown, they return over and over when Lucy holds the football for them to kick.
