Hours before New Orleans Police Superintendent Eddie Compass announced his resignation, Tony relayed some hot information he had heard from his Capitol Hill sources. It regarded an FBI investigation currently under way.
You can go to the source above and listen to that segment of his radio show.
Hmmmm...mebbe more buses than drivers?!!!!!
Oh, I think the crooks among them knew darn good and well what they were doing and did it very well.
You could see Blanco and Nagin were getting prepared for the worst. They each screamed about the Federal response, but their eyes showed they knew they were going to get a spanking eventually.
The classic "Blue State" kingdom; liberals creating dependency and projects to hold them all, and then delivering the votes for the funding. It's a formula.
Every large city government in America needs a review by the FBI and Homeland Security.
I mean Louisiana
We don't know what the Feds are doing. It maybe her request is what prompted the investigation.
Did you read the rest of my post?
Important to remember...less than one week after Katrina hit, and
For the record, it was Mayor Nagin who was all over television, justifying these R&Rs for "exhausted" New Orleans cops.

"NEW ORLEANS, Sept. 4 - A day after two police suicides and the abrupt resignations or desertions of up to 200 police officers, defiant city officials on Sunday began offering five-day vacations - and even trips to Las Vegas - to the police, firefighters and city emergency workers and their families.
The idea of paid vacations was raised by both Mayor C. Ray Nagin and senior police officials. who said that their forces were exhausted and traumatized and that the arrival of the National Guard had made way for the officers to be relieved...."

Thank you. As a gov't sometime payroll clerk myself I would hope to think we aren't all corrupt and stealing tax dollars from the US taxpayer.
Yeah.
No, just most of the ones in NO and a good portion of the rest of LA.
The production company was aided greatly in its ability to film in and around New Orleans by the state's Film Commission. Shortly after this film (which is about political corruption) premiered, several members of the Film Commission were indicted in a kickback scandal. So, if this Eddie fella can Garbo his speech in front of the cameras today, "I just vant to be left alone," how can they haul ANOTHER PUBLIC SERVANT -- the former FEMA director (Michael Brown) -- before Congress?
So I take it you read this part: " ... not all local gov't payroll clerks are corrupt."?
Maybe its just isolated to the NOPD and not the other city depts or state. We just don't have enough now to know.
See my #152.
Yesterday, Snow said he would stay on this story. We'll have to see if he does this morning at 9AM.
Click between 9am and noon ET to hear the "The Tony Snow Show" live online."
We know the government in LA stinks from the top down. And that the culture of corruption includes everyone from the crooks who have made a living off it to the folks who've looked the other way. I wouldn't pour any more taxpayer money down that 'Rat hole until it's cleaned up.
You can bet Nagin is in on the scam. He was awfully quick to put the Las Vegas and Atlanta vacations stories out there.
No wonder the citizens were shooting at the NO Police.
They don't HAVE to be corrupt, all they have to do is not to look beyond the end of their noses.
