Thanks for the initial heads up to the CSPAN broadcast on that other thread.

I echo that CSPAN blond lady's conclusion to the Goldstar speeches. Tough to watch, stuck with it through all the Goldstar member's speeches, the least I could've done for their sacrifices. Wish I could've been there in person to applaud.

I need some emotional relief from watching those testimonies from the parents of the brave men who have given their lives to protect us.

I might even have to go out have a few drinks as soon as my tear ducts dry up.

p.s. Kuddos to kristinn, did he set this whole thing up?

p.p.s It looks likes kristinn has put on a little weight since the 2004 inaugural, is he OK? Hope so.

Benjamin, I understand, probably most do here, how you are feeling. Surely such emotion is the mark of a good, good rally.

My prayer-CSPAN will offer free tapes of this to our troops overseas. Afterall, what could be more important.And ya know, I appreciate CSPAN filming this. And intend to thank them.

Had I known that downloading the 'real player' CSPAN utilizes to stream, would have taken so incredibly long, I could have downloaded it much earlier and watched this unfold.

I'll tell ya tho, my heart was right there.

And, BTW, I am going to treat myself to some whiskey sours tonight...at the very least, two. Your post gave me the nudge-:^)

Wish I could invite you over to join me...tonight is going to be a good night to enjoy a good drink and visit with friends online. ( Rita hit Indiana and it has been dark, rainy and gloomy here outside Indianopolis for most of the day....a day I was going to use to pick up hickory nuts covering our yard! LOL Stuff happens!)
