Hello, 'Face!
I'll call you whatever you prefer.
I've decided to stop feeling guilty for not doing lessons today. I'll just recalculate the schedule later on tonight...or so I tell myself.
I really wish that I could join the hubby in NYC----he's there for a class all week. He thinks that I should throw myself on his mother's mercy, beg babysitting, and hop a train up to join him for the last day. He has a hotel room and everything.
*sigh*

Well, 'close' contact with me - being in the same thread as I am, is one way to catch the typo virus. The other way is being exposed to my typos one too many times.Well, then, I've definitely caught it. Fortunately for me, my English major degree acts as typo-repellant force field against typical typos. I can only hope to develop a booster shot in the laboratory that will protect me from atypical typos....

Over at the Canteen, you get Woo Hoo!I'm sorry, Cal. I don't get the reference. Would you mind explaining it to me in n00b-compatible language. My universal translator got itself flushed down the toilet.
Funny, how that happens a lot 'round here....

May I heartily recommend this book:
"A Thomas Jefferson Education" by Oliver van DeMille

As father of four, all being educated at home, I know of the swirling vortex of trends in the "homeschool" world. It truly has become an industry unto itself; filled with an ever-expanding maze of curriculae, methods, tools, tips, tricks and so-called shortcuts. If you've ever been overwhelmed by it all, accept my simple invitation to step off of the merry-go-round.
Think about the founders of our Nation and the heritage they left to us -- the greatest nation ever in the history of man. Ask, "What kind of education produced men of such ability and stature as to craft a Nation such as this; men who could soundly reason from elemental principle; men who could think, write and speak with depth, clarity and eloquence?" It must have been quite an extraordinary education, indeed. Well, yes it was, but surprisingly acessible to any with the will to do it. YOUR children can have the benefit of this same kind of education.
Honsetly, if you were to read only one book on education this year, make it this one.

I can't figure that out either.
Seems more like a field effect instead of a virus in that respect.

"finsihed." Finsihed, an armor plated fish with a fin on it's head?I don't think so.
Finsihed: a warning (like Watch Falling Rocks) to drivers that they are approaching a fish-filled environment.

Well, I haven't typed "ganags of epopel" in awhile.
But if it is an atypical typo, it will happen.
Should you come up with a vaccine or a cure, let me know.

You'll never get a second chance to do this while he's there. If it were me, it would be no contest...I'd be packing my bag and looking forward to time with my sweetheart!

Easy enough I think.
For now, an easy way to check is to see if I am posting in forum currently by looking at my 'latest posts' page.

How is homeschooling going for you? I sometimes feel overwhelmed teaching Pre-K through 6th grade simultaneously.
