Her opening line at the "peace" demonstration was a real winner: "If we didn't know it now, we certainly know it now."
This rally is a great comedic diversion from the Hurricane Rita coverage. Tune in and indulge.

The people in her district are poor, minority, mostly uneducated, and extremely liberal. That's how.

Have they produced an Iraqi opposed to the Iraq war yet?

This picture says it all. Expect the MSM to use a tightly cropped shot to make today's proceedings look larger than they really were. For what it's worth, I don't trust their reported numbers, period!

I guess they couldn't scrounge up an unreconstructed Ba'athist fascist or Al Qaeda Islamonazi head chopper to help make a case against Iraq's liberation. These people are too funny for mere words.

And what's with this guy?? Yeah, I love C-SPAN, but I don't think I'd go and stick a sign on my forehead like that...seems like he used a staple-gun to do it, too, from that look on his face! ;-)

Stupid basic cable... wonder if this is being broadcast on the web anywhere. I don't know. I'll look around.

Just turned on the concert. Who's the blonde with Amy Goodman? Is she with the BBC? (I can just see the Beeb spinning this Stalinist hate-fest as a "mainstream" political event.)

C-SPAN had an event honoring Jesse Helms on recently. The conservative events and speakers haven't completely disappeared, but they do seem to be outnumbered 2-1 or 3-1 by the leftist stuff.
This morning some caller complained about C-SPAN's failure to cover the Able Danger hearings while having coverage of Hurricane Rita (which the other channels were full of), and the person handling the calls answered by citing the anti-war event they would have on later. I doubt the caller thought that was a satisfactory answer.

A dozen questions have come in so far. More opportunities to slam her.

Who's the blonde with Amy Goodman? I don't know. I can't get past the ugliness of Goodman. That mug is living commercial for NARAL.

Vacant, glassy-eyed stare. A perfect embodiment of an inhabitant from the Planet Zongo. Their connection to events on Earth is purely coincidental.

In October 1998, C-SPAN promised to broadcast live Free Republic's March for Justice in Washington, DC. At the last minute they replaced it with a re-run of something with Madeleine Albright. They must have gotten a lot of calls complaining, because after a little while they did put the FR rally on.

The poor grieving mother breaks my heart.
Moms Shehan and the other old hippie Kerry Wannabes are about to learn that their antiwar, Vietnam rehash, is being answered by a new media which makes for a more informed public. A public which will and does push back.
