O2 checking in, hardly working, back home to westbank of N. O. Everything's fine, but we did get lots of wind and power outages on and off from Rita.

Currently, I am calling liquor stores to see if anyone is opening today. I would dearly love a Bloody Mary. If you have tomato juice, I have the rest of the fixin's at the Eaker Compound!

Awww, heck darlin', I'm 30 miles NE of downtown Dallas. Nothing but a nice, cool breeze now. Hopefully, we'll get a little rain out of this deal, after my boy's baseball game ends at 8.
I surely appreciate you thinking of us, though.

Humble is up 59 North. It stretches from Beltway 8 up to FM1960. Due South of Kingwood.

Sort of a non-event down here. Aside from the constant mini-power outages, and the feeling of being in a box (due to boarded-up windows), nothing unusual to report. The power has not stayed off for more than a minute or two. Lots of wind, and some rain.
I slept in my recliner because I feared the wind might blow open a door, and I did not want my dog to get out. The wind knocked pretty hard, but everything held.

Latest estimates say there are about 1 million gators in Louisiana but only a handful of crocs, all in zoos.

Wind, rain and lots of evacuees in Huntsville but, so far at least, all is well to my knowledge!

I'm extremely thankful to God that we were on the west side of this thing. I was worried about all these lovely huge trees and the damage they could have caused to our homes if we had hurricane force winds for hours.
Take care!

My apologies. I live in Spring.

Everything fine in Sugar Land, though I may need to water as I didn't get enough rain to water in the fertilizer I put down last night. What say we all dump the ice we made in the streets at the same time and solve Global Warming?
TWfromTexas is snoring in the main bedroom but that will change when his mom and grandmother get back and want their homes put back in order!
Glad it missed us, prayers for those it did not.
