Dr. Neil Frank, says that part of the eye wall if not all of the eye wall has collapsed. He says when this happens it's losing lots of wind speed.
I don't think it matters at this point. The wind field is very expansive. I don't think we'll see any confirmed cat 4 damage from wind (even though pressure is lower than most cat 3s), but there will be a wide swath of cat 3 damage.
