I understand, hon. One of the people online who supported me the most when Matt was in Iraq is named Dahl Steiner. He is retired Navy, and I want to tell you a little about him and a prayer he had and I had for him that was answered by a movie. I'll go back to that day, as it was part of my Daily Devotional and prayer list I e-mail every day. I sent this August 16th, 2005, and HANKY ALERT:

"My dear friends and family,

I have a very good online friend who is retired
from the Navy and gave me a lot of support when my
son, Matt, was in Iraq. As it is said, "give and
you shall receive." Dahl Steiner has done that for
many people, as did his father, the late George R.
Steiner. During World War II, George Steiner served
in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a radio operator and
gunner on B-17s, was a prisoner of war for 3 1/2
years in Cabanataun, the Philippines, and was a
survivor of the Bataan Death March.

Last Friday, a movie was released called "The Great
Raid," about the successful mission to free the
POW's from the Cabanataun Japanese POW camp. Dahl
and I wrote back and forth about his father, about
how much he missed him, and how many different
stations had been showing interviews with the
survivors, the rescuers, and how Dahl had seen a
film clip years ago on Walter Cronkite's Universe
showing Dahl's father, but how Dahl had never been
able to find that short film clip.

Dahl and his wife, Gail, went to see the movie. At
the end of the movie, they showed old film clips
from the rescue, etc, and low and behold, there, on
the screen was Dahl's father climbing out of an
ambulance.

God Bless you, Dahl! You were so much support to me
when my son was in Iraq! I feel the Lord have given
to you as you gave to me. Thank you my friend."
