What an idiot is right.

Everybody knows that Mikkos Cassadine controls the weather in Port Charles AND everywhere else.

One of our local weathermen just got finished dismantling the whole thing on a local show.

How much actual experience does your guy have?

He might be making more money selling crackpot theories to the moonbats than he makes selling crackpot weatherforcasts to the local news channel.

Neither actually have to be accurate.

The Japanese Mafia? The Yakuza had nothing to do with it, because I can now admit to the world it has been my low earth orbit experiments that caused this mess. So he can now return to work as a weatherman :)

The Japanese Mafia? There is no such thing : )

That's what they want us to think :)

I'm a little concerned, myself. Next time a hurricane hits Idaho we probably won't get any warning.

"His theories are his theories," Fouch said. "But, if you think about it - of all the TV weather people, he continues to be the most accurate. It isn't his theories getting involved with his professional job."

It doesn't follow. Being an accurate TV weatherman DOES NOT ensure that your theories regarding weather--and lasers, spacemen, Hobbits, etc.--will automatically be good ones that meet the criteria of a good scientific theory.

I heard the commies were working on some sort of preparation to screw with the weather.

They were finally successful with Preparation H.

I can't say I really believe all this, but worth looking at possibly, this is what Cohen said back in 1998 and others have talked of it also - notice the last sentence. I know it sounds crazy, BUT

DoD News Briefing
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen

Monday, April 28, 1997 - 8:45 a.m. EDT

Q: Let me ask you specifically about last week's scare here in Washington, and what we might have learned from how prepared we are to deal with that (inaudible), at B'nai Brith.

A: Well, it points out the nature of the threat. It turned out to be a false threat under the circumstances. But as we've learned in the intelligence community, we had something called -- and we have James Woolsey here to perhaps even address this question about phantom moles. The mere fear that there is a mole within an agency can set off a chain reaction and a hunt for that particular mole which can paralyze the agency for weeks and months and years even, in a search. The same thing is true about just the false scare of a threat of using some kind of a chemical weapon or a biological one. There are some reports, for example, that some countries have been trying to construct something like an Ebola Virus, and that would be a very dangerous phenomenon, to say the least. Alvin Toeffler has written about this in terms of some scientists in their laboratories trying to devise certain types of pathogens that would be ethnic specific so that they could just eliminate certain ethnic groups and races; and others are designing some sort of engineering, some sort of insects that can destroy specific crops. Others are engaging even in an eco- type of terrorism whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely through the use of electromagnetic waves.

Why the Russians rather than NASA?

That is irrelevant. A bad theory can be dismissed by when it neither fits the facts nor has the explanatory power of other theories. The issue is in the reasoning.

REAL kook!

If he's such a "kook", why then why was this bill introduced earlier this year?

PURPOSE.
It is the purpose of this Act to develop and implement a comprehensive and coordinated national weather modification policy and a national cooperative Federal and State program of weather modification research and development.

Weather Modification Research and Technology Transfer Authorization Act of 2005 - S. 517

That's the way to do it. Advertise to the whole world "I'm quitting my job to pursue a conspiracy!" He needs an extra layer of foil around his head.

Fouch said Stevens wanted to leave as quickly as possible because his "plate is full," and he needs to take advantage of the opportunities that exist now.

About two weeks from now, his plate empty and his opportunities exhausted, he will be back giving the weather on some other unknown local news show in some unheralded backwater, maybe NY City or LA.
