Dangerous Hurricane Rita is expected to make landfall in the northeast Gulf of Mexico within 24 hours. Tornados have spawned in Louisiana. Water is filling the Ninth Ward of New Orleans again. A bus carrying elderly evacuees was gutted by fire this morning outside Dallas, with multiple fatalities. Television crews have positioned their hurricane reporters throughout the region to attain maximum drama effects. Whoooooa.

And now I will use the most over-used word by the hollywood left ...
Was that surreal for you??
Rita Cosby is heavy enuf that we don't have to worry about her blowing into the bay.
Unfortunately. :/
Not sure if this will happen with y'all- after Charley came through here it smelled like HEAVEN outside in the morning... from all the "pruning" done by the wind. Hard to describe it- but it was clean, earthy and piney..really permeated the air.
When Frances came a few weeks later I was so looking forward to it again- but...nothing. Turns out there was nothing left to "prune"!
Me too! 'Mute' is too good for him...I turn the power off.
I tried the KPLC link and that does work for me.
Done. I'll take Puerto Rico and give you Louisiana and Massachusetts. Deal?
Here's an interesting site I found. You may have already seen this.

A great big AMEN! to your post.
I agree - I went back and read it!
Is there a looter stamp?
He has been going on and on about how there is no one left. I bet next time he's up they will have "found" someone.
If you leave them on their back, beside the road, it is a requirement.
I will see if I can dig them up.
Mornin'/evening. The track based on the last 2 vortex reports (eye fixes at 3:31 pm and 6:03 pm put the motion over that 2 1/2 hours at 322 degrees and 11 mph. That 6:03 position put it 103 miles and a 326 degree course out Sabine Pass. Extrapolating, that, that should put landfall about 3:30 am 15 miles west of Sabine Pass.
The difference is that I have the cache of guns.
You would go there. People come here.
Don't smack me on gun issues and I won't smack you on any issues.
We can be friends.
Shep Smith had two dogs following him around...
MRE of last resort!
What? No babies for him to grab out of their mother's arms? I'm not watching. ;)
You're right, I knew I'd heard it before. And I'm thinking, how does this happen? There is only so much stupid drama music that exists to play during a news story?
ahh or a looter brand??
