Dangerous Hurricane Rita is expected to make landfall in the northeast Gulf of Mexico within 24 hours. Tornados have spawned in Louisiana. Water is filling the Ninth Ward of New Orleans again. A bus carrying elderly evacuees was gutted by fire this morning outside Dallas, with multiple fatalities. Television crews have positioned their hurricane reporters throughout the region to attain maximum drama effects. Whoooooa.

DON'T ASK! (Don't tell?) LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's another irony for you. Mercury has a tremendous affinity for sulfur. If you put them together, they will try to form cinnabar. I really don't believe that the mercury levels in coal are a problem, but a little sulfur in the coal would help absorb some of the mercury.
Jerry Rivers just chimed in for a minute. We can thank God that his tripe was cut off in mid sentence.
I hope he is standing on a pier somewhere, not tied down. Blow O mighty wind, blow.
If Shep and Jerry start crying again, I swear I am changing to CNN.
Definately... surge will be much bigger than normal with a cat3. Saving grace may be that SW LA is not as populated as MS. I don't know how well Port Arthur will fare.
Watch for tornados
Tornadoes touching down all over La.
hey Dog...sensation sells!
I'm listening to the Houston scanner right now..quite busy
Yikes. What stream are you listening to?
ROFL. We just adopted two more pound puppies one 70lbish and one 125lb ish. Add to that our older dog who is 95 lbs. ALL three are afraid of thunder....you can imagine what my bed is like when it storms.
1) Bastardi better ease up on the doom and gloom predictions or we're gonna knock of the excess "i" in his name.
2) He called Katrina perfectly -- hasn't done so well with Rita THUS FAR. Sez worst part of Rita will be happening between 6 and 9 am tomorrow.
I'll ask him when he comes inside....he's outside anchoring some small trees....
To give O'Bloviator somebody to talk to.
Statewide Louisiana State Patrol...
What an opportunity for my beautiful dog! She's a celebrity in my commumity. We take our walks through town and everyone ooohs and ahhhhs.
But is Geraldo good enough for her? No way. Besides, she grrrrrrrrrs at liberals, no kidding.
It sounds like it, doesn't it. :(
Take care, MamaTexan.
Mercifully.
ROTFLMAO!
Godspeed to all In Rita's path! Good night!
I'm here in central Fl. and I am stormed out! Storm fatigue to this day. When the squirrels and birds disappear, along with the dogs silliness, I'll start to worry.
